504 vs. IEP

Parents are often confused, sometimes mislead, as to when a child qualifies for an IEP versus a 504 and/or what are the benefits or limitations of each. This page seeks to provide resources to reduce that confusion, provide accurate information, and empower parents to exercise their rights when either a finding of not eligible arises or discrimination occurs. Thus, links may also include information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
